HISTORY OF THE CRAMERI BUSINESS

Mr Elias J Crameri first traded in business in 1878. His business interests began as a wood cutter, conducting business from 9-13 Tuaggra Street, Maryborough. Later this became the factory site for processing Oaten Hay into Chaff, the business took on a different emphasis supplying the Melbourne and country Victorian regions with high quality and a reliable supply of chaff for the racing and equestrian industries.
The produce store operated from the factory facing Tuaggra street, Maryborough, where a small variety of produce was sold to the limited clientele. Business maintained the same momentum until the 1980’s when expansion began with the opening of a new factory site in Tullaroop Rd, Maryborough. The 1980’s also saw the opening of a drive through farm and produce store in one of the existing buildings in Tuaggra St.

 The subsequent membership into Town & Country-buying group saw the expansion of product lines to service the local farming community.In 1990 the new premises in Tuaggra St finally opened increasing space and efficiency with the two drive through lanes.
In 1998 E Crameri & Sons acquired the Maryborough business Elliot Farm Supplies, we consolidated both businesses into one site in May 1999.
